Seminal vesicle involvement meaning

  • I underwent surgery for prostate cancer removal recently. My biopsy mentioned seminal vesicle involvement. What does it mean? Should I be worried?

  • Hi Anurag,

Thank you for posting your query on our forum. Seminal vesicles are one of the normal reproductive organs in males. They are located just above the Prostate gland and are many times involved with cancer. Involvement of seminal vesicles indicates a locally advanced stage of cancer and thus requires a treatment plan accordingly. Hence, we request you to follow-up with your oncologist to chart out an optimal strategy. In case of any further queries or information, you can always reach us on cases@onco.com or +918884455789. Take care and keep us updated!
