My biopsy report mentions N1 penile cancer. What does it mean? Should I be worried?

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. N1 penile cancer means that the cancer has spread to the single inguinal lymph node/region with a limited size. Final staging of the cancer depends on the tumor size as well. Generally, N1 penile cancer comes under stage 3 penile cancer. The appropriate treatment would be surgery followed by adjuvant radiation. However, we recommend getting a proper evaluation by an oncologist first. If you would like, you could sign up on www.onco.com to get a treatment recommendation from one of our empanelled oncologists. Praying for your speedy recovery. Take care!
